1. Course Description

This self-paced JLPT N4 course is designed for learners who wish to study Japanese on their own time and schedule. All lessons, quizzes, videos, and downloadable materials are provided through the learning platform. Students control the speed of their progress while receiving instructor support through scheduled consultations, messaging, or email.

The course develops grammar, vocabulary, kanji, listening, reading, and basic conversation skills aligned with the JLPT N4 test requirements.

2. Course Learning Outcomes

Upon completion, the learner will be able to:

Communication

• Participate in simple conversations about daily routines, experiences, plans, and opinions.

• Describe events and express reasons using N4 grammar patterns.

Reading

• Read short passages, emails, dialogues, and notices written in everyday Japanese.

• Recognize about 150 N4 kanji.

Listening

• Understand spoken conversations at normal speed about familiar, everyday topics.

Grammar & Vocabulary

• Use approximately 300–400 new vocabulary words and essential N4 grammar structures.

Writing

• Compose short paragraphs and messages using N4 grammar and kanji.

3. Mode of Instruction: Self-Paced Learning

• Learners can study lessons anytime, anywhere, within the course duration.

• Modules include video lectures, grammar notes, reading passages, audio tasks, and quizzes.

• Learners repeat lessons as needed until mastery.

• Instructor support is available on-demand through messages or consultation slots.

• Final assessments must be completed by the end of the course period.
